Travel Log Sketchbook

This week's sketchbook theme was Travel Log, so I decided to whip out the acrylic paint and paint pens to make this intense red neighborhood (well in real life it's a lot less intense). Anyways, I keep having this reoccurring dream of visiting places I've never been that are intensely vibrant in color. I'm always looking for someone to tell me where I am, but every time I find someone I wake up. Not sure if that's good or bad. Anyways, here's a little homage to that. Also, I like drawing buildings. Hope you enjoy. :)

Ma Petite Shoe Event Poster

This past weekend, I was asked to do a Poster Design and Illustration for a joint event between Ma Petite Shoe and MICA. The event is an "OctoberFest" Party that is happening as part of First Friday where there will be shoes and chocolate for sale. It was really fun to do this poster, and be able to do whatever. Soon to follow, will be the painted shoes that I have also been asked to do. Let me know what you think.

And here's a look at the poster on Display.

As well, as the illustrated sneaker for Ma Petite Shoe's website.

Sneak Peak at Everyman's Library Pocket Poetry Book Covers

Two out of the five first comps for an assignment for Making Good Ideas. The theme is using flowers to express a genre of poetry. The top flower is a white blooming cactus and the bottom one is a lantana flower, which surprisingly blooms and can survive in salt water.

Let me know what you think.

Flower Pattern and Atlas Sketchbook

This week, I had the fun opportunity to work on the Atlas themed sketchbook. It was fun to have the chance to make a pattern, play with layering of mylar, as well stenciling and paper cutouts.  The theme for the spreads are a mixture of female sexuality and the projections are minds make upon constellations and stars in the night sky.

Let me know what you think. :)

Creatures Sketchbook Page

This week, it was my turn to do a spread for the "Creatures"sketchbook. So I just drew weird monsters from my imagination meeting together in the woods. Let me know if you dig it.
