My first attempt at a full sheet. Like the previous prints, I am working with the idea of inner struggle and unrest, which is somewhat ironic considering I am having the time of my life here in ITALY!!!!
I have focused my efforts in these monoprints in discovering new ways to create textures through the pulls. I am paying homage to the Italian heritage by including significant elements of Florentine culture into my prints such the avant-garde flamboyant nature of Italian beauty, the concept of life and death, and most obvious the balance of good and evil (the s symbolizing sinestra, the left, the sinister side). But most of all, I am having fun with it all.
